Gail Stanley

Associate Physician Scientist

I grew up in Arvada, Colorado. I obtained a B.A. in Biochemistry and Molecular, Cellular & Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. I started my love affair with the Northeast heading to Boston, Massachusetts where I obtained a M.P.H from Tufts. I returned to my Colorado for Medical School at the University of Colorado-SOM. I completed my Internal Medicine training at the University at UNM. I finally came back to the Northeast completing my Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Yale, including a research fellowship year. My clinical interests include cystic fibrosis and multidrug-resistant organisms. As a member of the Center for Phage Biology & Therapy at Yale, my research involves bacteriophage treatment for MDR infections in CF and non-CF bronchiectasis. I am married with 2 kids. I love spending time with my family; I am literally a soccer and dance mom. As a family we enjoy swimming, camping, riding bikes and relaxing at the beach. My husband and I are scuba divers and love to travel. We recently took up rock climbing too. When I find time, I love going to the movies, concerts, baking and playing my flutes.
